Family's story

Growers from father to son for the past 6 generations, the Cabanne family has been active in the Charente region ever since 1686.

Ambitious men with strong personalities, always firmly linked to their soil or “terroir”, the Cabannes have grown the family estate and developed its spirit producing capabilities.

Today, the Cabanne estate boasts 77 hectares of vines in the prestigious growths of “petite champagne” and “fins bois”. The distillery has 17 copper pot stills (“alambics charentais”).

In 1999, Alexis Cabanne, 6th generation, decided to create his own wine and spirits business: “Hawkins Distribution Company “ was born !

This rich history, combined with a real expertise in producing top quality “eaux-de-vie” ensures that the company is one of the industry’s leaders.

Hawkins Distribution Company satisfies the needs of the most prestigious customers from all around the world.

Our estate is a real force to be reckoned within the Cognac producing region, and we are proud to be the owners of one of the world’s oldest certified cognacs dating from 1806, Cognac Marie Domain.
